LARIONOV, Mikhail Fedorovich
b.1881, Tiraspol ; d.1964, Fontenay-aux-Roses, France, 1964
Studied at the Moscow Art School (1898-1910), in 1906 travelled to Paris and London. Organised the exhibitions Wreath (1908), Link (1908), Knave of Diamonds (1910), Donkey's Tail (1912), Target(1913), No.4 (1914), and participated in numerous other exhibitions: World of Art (1906, 1911-13), Union of Russian Artists (1906-10), Salons of the Golden Fleece (1908-10), Link-Stefanos (1908), Union of Youth (1910-12), Der Blaue Reiter (Munich, 1912), exhibition of Russian art in Paris and Berlin (1906), International Exhibition in Venice (1907) etc. In 1923 joint exhibition with Natalia Goncharova in Tokyo. Lived in Moscow to 1915 then in Paris. Between 1914 and 1929 produced theatrical designs for the productions of Sergei Diaghilev.
